  • Remember to work both sides for technical balance

Duration: 15% (9 mins / 14 mins)
  • Player starts with a bounce pass on the right of the mannequin
  • Player then bounce passes on the left of the mannequin
  • Player then drops backwards and works their feet through the speed ring
  • Player then repeats
  • Progress by vary the service (volley, ½ volley etc)
Stopwatch
Duration: 15% (9 mins / 14 mins)
  • Player starts behind the pole and checks in front
  • Player and coach bounce pass
  • Coach then calls a colour either red/yellow
  • Player must check to the colour the coach calls
  • Coach then plays a through ball down the opposite side
  • Player accelerates to the ball and strikes into the goal first time

Duration: 15% (9 mins / 14 mins)
  • Use the “red/yellow” awareness tool
  • Player now scans as they check in front of the pole
  • Whichever colour they see they should check to after a bounce pass with the coach
  • Coach then plays a through ball down the opposite side
  • Player accelerates to the ball and strikes into the goal first time
Stopwatch
Duration: 20% (12 mins / 18 mins)
  • Player starts behind the pole and checks in front
  • Player and coach bounce pass
  • Coach then calls a colour either red/yellow
  • Player must check to the colour the coach calls
  • Coach then plays a through ball towards the goal
  • Player strikes first time
  • Coach can press the player from behind to increase pressure
