  • Remember to work both sides for technical balance

  • Player manipulates the ball in the centre of the box to start
  • Coach calls a colour
  • Player must move to the colour called, leaving the ball in the middle
  • Player returns to manipulating the ball

Duration: 15% (9 mins / 14 mins)
  • Player starts with the ball
  • Player dribbles around the middle cone then to either the left/right cone
  • Player dribbles around the outside cone
  • Player then accelerates to the opposite cone, before dribbling back to the start
  • Make sure to repeat on both sides for technical balance
  • Progress to include a stop-start move on the wayback

  • Use the “Left/Right” awareness tool
  • The player will now look up on their approach to the middle cone
  • Player must now react to the direction of the arrow that they see
  • Progress to include an Attacking Move – feinting togo one way before dribbling the other way

Duration: 20% (12 mins / 18 mins)
  • Player passes into the wall to start
  • Player receives the ball on the inside of their foot, quickly snapping it towards goal with the outside of their foot
  • Player should look to receive the ball facing the defender up
  • Progress by adding in an awareness cue before the player receives from the wall
